7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Port of New York/New Jersey is one of the busiest in the world and managed over 6,250,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), 47 million tons of Bulk Cargo, 663,000 vehicles and much more during 2017 and has just over 50% share of the North Atlantics loaded TEU's.
Join the CNYIBA on a tour of Maher Terminal - the largest container shipping terminal in the Port of New York/New Jersey. (See on Google Maps)
|
We will learn from the Maher Terminal managers how they coordinate loading and unloading thousands of ocean shipping containers each day. We’ll see how they use x-ray to inspect shipments, how they trans-load to and from rail and truck, and how they cooperate with US Customs and Border Protection to insure the safety of our supply chains.

We’ll also hear a presentation from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey who has management oversight of all of the ocean, rail, truck and air terminals in the greater metro area.
