INFORMATION ABOUT CHITEC 2017

CHITEC is the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo which aims to promote technology commercialization, and international economic and technical cooperation. It is sponsored by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the State Intellectual Property Office, and the city government of Beijing. It is organized by the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

This international trade fair integrates exhibitions, forums and biztalks as a whole:

  • 800,000 sqft of exhibition area and 1,800 exhibitors
  • 300,000 participants and attendees from high tech companies all over China
  • Over 10 forums & biztalks with 300 guest speakers and 6,000 business executives 

High-tech sectors included, but not limited to:

  • Electronics
  • Informatics and communications
  • Bio-engineering
  • Environmental protection technology
  • New materials and new energy sources
  • Modern agricultural and green technology
  • Engineering and manufacturing technology

INFORMATION ABOUT CAPPSE:

CAPPSE was established on June 18, 1995 by the China Ministry of Science and Technology and approved by the China Ministry of Civil Affairs in order to effectively promote the development of private technology enterprises and to improve the efficiency of technology transfer/commercialization. After 22 years of development, CAPPSE now has over 100,000 groups and individual members in the private sector in China.

 

CAPPSE’s main functions are

  • Communicate between government and private enterprises, especially the policy demands of private technology enterprises
  • Promote collaboration between industry and research institutions to enhance the innovation capability of the private technology enterprises
  • Support the development of private technology parks and incubators to promote the upgrading of industrial technology
  • Build a wide range of services platforms, to provide strategic advice, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, management training, investment and financing, marketing, human resources support, full-service international cooperation

CAPPSE’s leaders visited Syracuse twice in 2013, and the relationship has continued. 

REGISTRATION FEE:

A base fee of $2,000 / person, if registered before April 10, 2017.

A base fee of $2,500 / person, if registered After April 10, 2017.

The registration deadline is May 8, 2017.

Note: International airfare, hotel and food are not included.

  • One on one pre-sign up meeting to understand specific needs from your company
  • Pre-trip orientation meeting for trip preparation and cultural awareness
  • Provide invitation letters and assists in the China VISA application process
  • Help to obtain discounted rates for setting up exhibition booths
  • Guidance for hotel reservations and restaurants in Beijing
  • Local transportation for trade mission activities
  • Arrange match-making meetings and buyers meetings
  • Arrange tours to companies or high-tech industry parks of your choice
  • Arrange sightseeing tours
  • Provide translation service for marketing materials and documents
  • Guide and translation services during the visit in China
  • Introduce Chinese law firms and attorneys for potential legal assistance
  • One on one after trip meeting to collect feedback and results

 

FUNDING SUPPORT:

ESD has funding to support:

  • Part of the travel expenses
  • Help to pay for the Gold Key Service from U.S. Department of Commerce ($700)
  • Follow up services in China by ESD branch office in Shanghai
