The Port of New York/New Jersey is one of the busiest in the world.
Join the CNYIBA on a tour of Maher Terminal - the largest container shipping terminal in the Port of New York/New Jersey.
We will learn how they manage loading and unloading thousands of ocean shipping containers each day. We’ll learn how they use x-ray to inspect shipments, how they trans-load to and from rail and truck, and how they cooperate with US Customs and Border Protection to insure the safety of our supply chains.
If scheduling allows, we may also board a vessel during unloading and loading operations.

Agenda (all times after departure are approximate)
6:30 am Depart CNYTDO Parking Lot , 445 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, NY 13088
Bus will be in the lot nearest the north entrance to the ADP building
8:00am Depart Lowes Parking Lot, Front Street, Chenango Bridge exit off of Route 81
11:30am Arrive Maher terminal for presentation and lunch
1:00pm Tour of the port (and container vessel boarding if schedule allows)
3:00pm Depart Maher terminal
7:30pm Return to Syracuse
The bus is equipped with modern facilities and will make a rest stop once each leg. Lunch will be provided at the terminal meeting room.
