Global NY Announces Trade Mission to Canada.

Empire State Development Global NY will lead a multi-sector trade mission to Ottawa, Canada from September 7-9, 2016. Up to 12 slots are available for interested small- and medium-sized NYS companies (limit one person per company), which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Priority industry sectors include:
- Aerospace
- Defense and Security,
- ICT,
- Renewable Energy
- Medical Devices, all of which generally involve Government Procurement in Canada.
Based on interest and compatibility, other sectors may be considered as well.
New York State company participants will receive
- pre-trip and in-country staff support,
- country briefings and
- networking events
Additionally, NYS companies will receive targeted matchmaking appointments at no extra charge.
Participating companies will be reimbursed for a significant portion of their travel and lodging expenses through the ESD Global NY State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grant, which is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
This is an excellent opportunity to explore Canada as an export market. In-country briefings will be provided by Canadian government entities, the U.S. Commercial Service, and private sector experts.
